Hi Simeon,

Thanks for your comment!

I’m afraid there will need to be an entire societal transformation for things to really change. We need some sort of mass education for connection, to heal the rifts that egoism has created. We can see the destruction that our culture of separation has been leaving in its wake. From depression being the leading cause of disability to anxiety and prescription pill consumption getting way out of control.

I think that personally, we need to develop ourselves as best as we can, and also be with partners who are willing to change as well and work on the relationship. If there is a choice, it should be to be with someone who has a similar goal in life. Shared goals are really important to relationship success.

It won’t work to try to change the other person. We can only take responsibility for ourselves, but it’s great if both people want to be better and work on it together. Perhaps even take courses together to develop and grow as a couple.

Wishing you happiness and love !!
